The main objective of the license audit is to verify that a manufacturer is in a position to manufacture pressure equipment in accordance with the applicable TSG-regulations.
A team of auditors usually consists of three officials, all coming from various Chinese authorities. At least one of team member will have an understandable command of the English language but Chinese is spoken among each other. A translation service has proven to be very effective, especially during the audit support (see audit assistance).
Audits usually take place three to six months after successful application. In North America (especially in the industrial centers) the audit may be performed a little earlier. The audit itself takes three to four days. During this time, the entire contents of the SELO manual, the workshop and the demo products are checked for compliance with the applicable TSG-regulations.
